Race for the Cure
5K (3.1 mile) run / fitness walk and 1-mile fun -run / fitness walk.
Location: French Quarter loop, beginning from Woldenburg Park on the Mississippi River levee at the foot of Bienville St.
Time:
- 7:45 am Late registration begins
- 8:30 am Aerobic warm-up begins
- 9:00 am 1-mile run/walk
- 9:30 am 5K run/walk
Free parking available in Harrah's Casino parking garage on the day of race to race participants. Must show official race number at exit.
Proceeds benifit the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation Research Program and breast cancer education, screening, and treatment projects for the medically under-served.
