Patient and Family Counseling
The Patricia Trost Friedler Cancer Counseling Center employs a full-time clinical psychologist specializing in psycho-oncology. Patients may be seen for psychological and neuropsychological assessment, as well as individual and family psychotherapy. Fees for these services are either billed to insurance or paid by the patient or family. All of our self-pay fees are billed on a sliding fee scale, to ensure that all of our patients are able to benefit from our clinical services, regardless of their financial status or income.
For more information contact the director, Tim Pearman, Ph.D. at (504) 988-6313 or tpearman@tulane.edu.

The ACS also provides a cosmetic kit for each attendee which they may take with them.

Patient Resource Library
The Friedler Center includes a beautiful library of books, videos, and other resources for patients and their families wishing to learn more about their diagnosis, treatment options, recovery, medications, and other key aspects of cancer care. The library has two computers with Internet access to enable patients to search the Internet for cancer-related information. The library also has an extensive collection of pamphlets and magazines that patients are welcome to take with them when they leave the Friedler Center.
