pdeininger These are exciting times in the development of the Tulane Cancer Center.  Katrina is behind us, and both our clinical and research programs are recruiting new faculty aggressively and improving our research resources.  In addition, the Louisiana Cancer Research Consortium (LCRC), in which we partner with Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center and Xavier University, is opening up new opportunities.  Construction is underway on a new LCRC cancer research building that will help this partnership do great things for cancer research and treatment for the citizens of Louisiana.

Please use this opportunity to "meet" the Tulane faculty and staff committed to understanding cancer and to meeting the needs of cancer patients. Our website describes some of the research and clinical activities of our Cancer Center. We have also posted the educational activities and services available to the academic community and to the public, as well as our calendar of events

Tulane Cancer Center members can be reached by phone or e-mail (see the Directory of Members). We welcome feedback and suggestions concerning both substance and format. Should your "virtual visit" to the Tulane Cancer Center stimulate you to contact us in person, please e-mail pdeinin@tulane.edu or use our 1-800 numbers for access. Physicians please call 1-800-588-5300. Inquiries from the general public and potential patients will be welcomed at 1-800-588-5800.

I hope you find your visit pleasant and informative.

Sincerely yours,
Prescott Deininger, Ph.D.

Interim Director
Margeurite Main Zimmerman Chair in Basic Cancer Research.
