The PDF format is ideal for documents which are intended to be printed out after being downloaded from the Web. They are created in the Adobe Acrobat program, and they can be viewed and printed using the free Adobe Acrobat Reader program, which is available at:
http://www.adobe.com/products/acrobat/readermain.html
To view the download page on the Adobe website, your web browser program must have Java Script enabled (which is the default setting).
Troubleshooting: Your web browser program might be configured to view PDF documents internally using an Acrobat browser plug-in. If this is the case, and if you have any trouble viewing or printing a PDF document through your web browser program, then try downloading the document to your computer first and then opening it within the Adobe Acrobat Reader program:
Right-click on the link to the PDF document (on a Macintosh, click and hold), and from the pop-up menu choose "Save Link As" (in Netscape) or "Save Target As" (in Internet Explorer)
If you are given a choice between saving it as "Text" or "Source", save it as "Source".
Save the PDF document to your computer.
If the document's name does not end with ".pdf", add that extension.
