S12C1-GRANULOMATOUS DISEASE
SECTION 12
Chapter 1 (HOME)
Richard J. Reed, M.D., New Orleans, LA
You are at Section 12, Chapter 1. The conventions are the same as those for each of the other sections with the exception of appropriate modifications in Section 14 (in Section 14
there are only two tiers; tier two of Section 14 is devoted to clinical photographs). The navigation bars to the left in the MASTERBORDER are in two clusters with three additional clusters at the end of each page
(chapter). The clusters are color coded: blue for first cluster (a first level cluster providing access to the first
chapter, first tier (HOME), and to all textual chapters at level 2); beige for the vertically oriented second cluster (a cluster providing access to non-parent,
textual chapters); mauve for one of the clusters at the end of each page (providing access to other sections of this site); beige for another cluster at the end of each page (representing a continuation of the vertically oriented, beige
cluster in the MASTERBORDER, and providing access to additional pictorials at the third level and to the respective parent chapters at the second level); and an green cluster, consisting of two bars, providing access to web sites.
Parent chapters for the pictorials are identified with an “-X” in the clusters of the MASTERBORDER; by gaining access to one of these parent chapters, the reader can then access the relevant pictorials (each bar for
addressing a textual page -
marked with an “-X,” in the vertically oriented blue clusters of the 2nd and 3rd tiers and in both of the beige clusters at all tiers - is followed by a list of bars providing access to “daugther” pictorials). In the clusters, the bars following the bar listing a parent chapter provide a listing of relevant “daugther” pictorials at tier 3. The list following a particular parent textual chapter identifies a sequence of related pictorials; this sequence will then be broken and a new sequence initiated with the appearance in the blue and beige clusters of a new textual item marked with an “-X.” Three additional navigation aids are available at the end of each page of this section. One will take the reader to the NEXT page in sequence at the same level; the other will take the reader BACK to a preceding chapter at the same level (along the horizontal axis of the respective tier). The third aid will take the reader UP one tier to either a textual level at tier 2, or, if the reader is at tier 2, to HOME. All items in the text that are underlined are also navigational aids; a click on an underlined item, or label will take the reader to a relevant pictorial, or to a textual chapter.
Granulomatous disorders
A discussion of many examples of granulomatous dermatitis will be found in CHAPTER 11 (Infectious Diseases). The discussion in
this section deals with general aspects of granulomatous disease and with examples of non-infectious, granulomatous disorders.
The next chapter in sequence provides an IMAGE MAP and a SECTION MAP (S12C-image
map).
