This is the heart of a 54 year old male who died suddenly.
There is a very recent thrombus in the anterior descending branch of
the left coronary artery. An atherosclerotic plaque is present along
the lower wall of the artery. There was no grossly visible
myocardial infarct, so this process is less than one day old.
