aorta from a man who died in oliguria
Renal failure can be caused by vascular disease external to the
kidneys. This is an example of an
aorta from a man who died in oliguria. Notice there is a saccular aneurysm in the abdominal
aorta right at the bifurcation. Above this, there is severe
atherosclerosis occluding the orifices of the renal arteries.
