SQUAMOUS CELL CARCINOMA, MICRO - A proliferation of malignant epithelial cells. Cytoplasm of cells is eosinophilic suggesting keratin production and there is squamous "pearl" formation. Cytologically the nuceli are pleomorphic (vary in size and shape) and hyperchromatic (increased chromatin, darker stained).
