USUAL INTERSTITIAL PNEUMONITIS (UIP), MICRO - There is chronic interstitial inflammation with interstitial fibroblastic activity. Restructured airspaces with squamous metaplasia and luminal mucoid secretions are also present. This case is progressing toward a honeycomb or end stage lung.
