Desquamative interstitial pneumonitis (DIP)

DESQUAMATIVE INTERSTITIAL PNEUMONITIS (DIP), MICRO - There are large numbers of intraalveolar macrophages. The macrophages have slightly eosinophilic staining cytoplasm. Also present are lymphoid aggregates (aggregates of lymphocytes) in interstitial tissue.
