DIFFUSE ALVEOLAR DAMAGE (DAD), EXUDATIVE PHASE, MICRO - Alveolar spaces contain hyaline membranes (eosinophilic fibrous structure with central intraalveolar mononuclear cells and nuclear remnants of necrotic cells. Seen in adult respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS) and neonatal hyaline membrane disease.
