THROMBO-EMBOLIC PULMONARY HYPERTENSION, MICRO - There is recanalization of the lumen of a small pulmonary artery. Pulmonary hypertension can result from recurrent thromboembolization. The emboli reduces functional area of the pulmonary vascular bed causing an increase in pulmonary vascular resistance.
