Host defense against tumors - tumor immunity objectives
1. Analyze individually specific and group specific tumor antigens, their cellular location and the experimental tumors in which they occur.
2. Discuss carcinoembryonic antigen and alpha-fetoprotein in terms of :
b) their tumor-specificity
c) their presence, levels and incidence in neoplastic and
non-neoplastic conditions.
3. Describe the types of immune reactions that have been observed in rejection, destruction or enhancement of experimental tumors.
4. Describe the immune reactions that have been observed in association with neoplasms in man.
5. Propose 5 forms of immunotherapy for tumors based on current knowledge of tumor immunology.
