Notes: This tutorial is intended to acquaint you with the types of laboratory testing used in the diagnosis and monitoring of pregnancy. It replaces the lecture on prenatal testing that was given in previous years. Although a number of disorders are introduced in this context, the tutorial's main purpose is the presentation of testing strategies rather than a complete discussion of the diseases. Many of these disorders will be encountered elsewhere in the medical pathology course.
