Tulane's School of Medicine, in conjunction with the School of Public Health, offers many exciting options on its official list of rotations. These include several sites in South and Central America, and 1site in Africa (Nigeria - the Ghana program is currently being reorganized). At this time there are no sites in Asia; however, as Independent projects are "Tulane-tested" and evaluated, there is a possibility that they will become official Tulane sites as well.

Credit is approved and rotations are scheduled by a cooperative effort between the Office of Student Affairs, the Department of Family and Community Medicine, and the SPHTM department in which you are pursuing your MD/MPH degree (if necessary). In order to find out specific information regarding a particular aspect of your externship, it may be best to contact these departments directly, or browse the information on their websites.
