Goals and Objectives

  1. Identify potential gap in insurance coverage when moving from one insurance company to another.
  2. Determine how to rate the financial stability of an insurance company when purchasing med/malp. coverage.
  3. Be aware of the causes of medical malpractice claims, "why patients sue".
  4. Be able to put into practice methods of reducing the risks-Beginning in the clinical clerkship and residency years.

Agenda
Total time of seminar = 180 minutes

  • Lecture = none
  • Reading assigned articles = 30 minutes
  • Working in pairs = 30 minutes
  • Working in small group = 40 minutes
  • Total group discussion = 40 minutes
  • Break = 10 minutes
