General Objectives

  1. To increase awareness about organ, tissue and eye donation.
  2. To dispel some myths and misconceptions about organ, tissue and eye donation.
  3. Allow students to become educated and comfortable about the correct way to approach families facing the option of donation as well as the importance to discuss the subject prior to death.
  4. To raise awareness and enthusiasm that will continue throughout the student's medical career, no matter which specialty they choose to follow.

Agenda

Total time of seminar = 180 minutes

  • Lecture = 20 minutes
  • Video Presentation = 30 minutes
  • Small Group Discussion = 30 minutes
  • Break = 10 minutes
  • Role Play = 20 minutes

  • Break = 10 minutes
  • Questions = 20 minutes
  • Distribution of Promotional Items = 5 minutes
