Biography
Dr. Tracy Conrad is an Assistant Professor of Medicine and Pediatrics at the Tulane University School of Medicine.He also has an appointment in the OB/GYN section as the head of the clinical medicine course. He received his Bachelor of Arts Degree from the North Texas State University in Biology. Dr. Conrad attended Texas College of Osteopathic Medicine where he received his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree. He moved to New Orleans to attend the Internal Medicine and Pediatric combined residency program. He was Chief Resident in Pediatrics for the 1998-1999 year. He remained on the faculty for Internal Medicine and Pediatrics upon completion of his Chief Resident year. In 2003, Dr. Conrad was named the new Program Director for the Combined Medicine/Pediatrics residency program. He also directs the ambulatory care curriculum for the OB/GYN residency program.
Dr. Conrad has an active private practice at the Lakeside campus. He provides comprehensive care to a wide variety of patients from neborns to geriatrics. He also staffs the Med/Peds resident clinic, the Triple Board resident clinic, and the OB/ GYN resident’s primary care clinic.
Clinical Interests
Dr. Conrad has special interest in children with special needs, adolescent healthcare, primary care for HIV infected individuals, and transgender/ LGB healthcare.
