Biography
Dr. Markesha Fleury is an Assistant Professor of Clinical Medicine at the Tulane University School of Medicine. She received her Bachelor of Science Degree from Xavier University of Louisiana where she majored in Biology.  Dr. Fleury matriculated to Lousiana State University Health Sciences Center where she received her Medical Doctorate. She completed her residency in Internal Medicine at University of Florida, Shands Jacksonville. In 1993, following her residency, Dr. Cummings became Program Director of the Internal Medicine/Pediatrics residency program until 2003 when she became the Senior Advisor.

Dr. Fleury is active clinically seeing patients at Tulane University Community Health Center at Covenant House as well as Tulane University Hospital & Clinic Downtown.
