Biography
Dr. Chris Joplin is an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics and a Clinical Instructor of General Internal Medicine at the Tulane University School of Medicine.  He was raised in southern Missouri, and received his Bachelor of Arts in English Literature from the University of Missouri-Columbia.  He attended medical school at Tulane and remained to complete his residency in Internal Medicine and Pediatrics.  He now practices adult outpatient medicine at the Tulane University Community Health Center at Covenant House, and treats children in Tulane’s Pediatric Emergency Room.  He also sees patients of all ages on the Tulane Community Health Center’s Mobile Medical Unit.  In his spare time, he is active in the New Orleans music scene as a drummer and vocalist.

Clinical Interests
Dr. Joplin is interested in palliative medicine and end-of-life care, and in issues of healthcare access disparity.
