Biography
Dr. Geraldine Ménard is an Assistant Professor of Medicine at the Tulane University School of Medicine. She is also the Associate Chief for Inpatient Programs at Tulane University Hospital and Clinic, Chief of the Medicine Consultation Service, and Director of the Surgical Assessment, Consultation, and Evaluation Clinic.

Dr. Ménard attended Northwestern University School of Medicine, where she received her medical degree in 1997. She completed her residency in internal medicine at McGaw Medical Center-Northwestern Memorial Hospital in Chicago, Illinois. She has been on faculty at Tulane since 2000.

Dr. Ménard provides care for hospitalized medical patients, teaches medical students and residents, and is a consultant to the surgical services. She has been recognized for teaching with receipt of the Owl Club award, and internal medicine residency Faculty Excellence in Teaching award. She is also involved in quality improvement and serves on numerous hospital committees.  She is a member of several national organizations including Society of Hospital Medicine, Society of General Internal Medicine, and the American College of Physicians.

Clinical Interests
Her clinical interests include coordination of care for the hospitalized patient and preoperative evaluation and risk assessment.
