Biography
Dr. Geraldine Ménard is an Assistant Professor of Medicine at the Tulane University School of Medicine. She received her Bachelor of Science degree from Tulane University in New Orleans. Following this, she graduated from Northwestern University Medical School in Chicago, Illinois and then completed an Internship and Residency in Internal Medicine at the McGaw Medical Center-Northwestern Memorial Hospital, also in Chicago.
After completing her residency program, Dr. Ménard returned to New Orleans and joined the Department of Medicine, in 2000, as a Clinical Instructor in Internal Medicine. She achieved the rank of Assistant Professor of Medicine in 2001, and currently is the Director of Consultative Medicine for Tulane University Hospital and Clinic where she provides care for hospitalized medical patients, teaches medical students and residents, and is a consultant to the surgical services.
In addition, she is a physician in the Student Health Clinic. Dr. Ménard is a member of the American Medical Association, the American College of Physicians, the Society of General Internal Medicine, and the Society of Hospital Medicine. She is board certified in Internal Medicine.
Clinical Interests
Her clinical interests include coordination of care for the hospitalized patient and pre-operative evaluation and risk assessment.
