Welcome to the "New" New Orleans!

Otherwise known as the Crescent City, or The Big Easy, it's the city we’re Proud to call Home!

From the shores of Lake Pontchartrain, to the banks of the Mississippi River; from filé gumbo, to café au lait; from French Quarter high life, to the tranquility of the Garden Distric Mansions; New Orleans is a city like no other on earth!

Life in New Orleans offers a variety of experiences and opportunities for anyone to enjoy. The diverse culture is filled with festivals, music, art, theatre, and sports. Also, don't forget the delicious and world famous cuisine found in no other city but New Orleans!

Whether you want to enjoy Mardi Gras, the Jazz Fest, the many French Quarter Festivals, or the numerous other festivals around town and the region -- New Orleans is the place to be!

New Orleans is also one of the great Music capitals! From the House of Blues to Tipitina’s Music Hall ; or, if your senses take you to Snug Harbor, there is a style and rhythm for everyone! And don’t be surprised to find some of the Tulane’s own very talented family performing musically around town!

If your tastes gravitate towards Art and Theatre – New Orleans is the place to be!
New Orleans offers the community unique evenings such as White Linen Night and Art for Art’s Sake, both sponsored by the Community Arts Center, when galleries celebrate "open house" to the public. Also, the New Orleans Museum of Art and Ogden Museum of Southern Art are just two other of the hundreds of art venues in the city.

And don’t forget the National World War II Museum filled with tanks, planes and ships and memorabilia from the battles.

Oh, and if you’re a sports enthusiast, we have football - New Orleans Saints, basketball - the Hornets, and the fun of AAA baseball with the Zephyrs, and much more.

And oh, so much more! The Audubon Nature Institute gives us the New Orleans Zoo, the Aquarium of the Americas, and the new Insectarium, the largest insect exhibit in the world! Also, parks, golf, and the IMAX theatre offer more lesiure opportunities for the whole family!
