Research Interests:
My primary interest is in developmental psychopathology and clinical intervention for preschool-aged children. I’ve had the pleasure of working on several grants. In Louisiana, for example, I’ve worked with multidisciplinary teams studying the impact of nurse home visiting on young, first time mothers and their infants. I’ve also studied how parenting education programs stack up against more intensive parenting therapy in helping young mothers manage their preschool-aged children. Internationally, I’ve studied mentoring interventions for orphaned youth who care for younger children in Rwanda and community-support programs for orphaned children in rural Malawi.
