Owl Club

Founded in 1921, the Owl Club is a service organization committed to fostering improved relationships between the medical student body and the faculty. The club consists of 40 elected members who serve as liaisons between students and faculty. The club strive to achieve continued excellence in medical education by inspiring superior teaching and by promoting high ethical standards. Owl Club representatives compile an evaluation of every course taught at Tulane Medical School. The evaluation is based on the responses to questionnaires completed by students in each particular course. These evaluations enable course directors to assess the effectiveness of their courses, and modify the course based on sound feedback. The Owl Club also hosts an annual banquet where outstanding teaching awards are distributed to selected faculty members and departments. All of these activities help to continue Tulane Medical School's distinctive environment of camaraderie and teaching excellence.
