Eddy Philogene Born, raised, and educated in Mirebalais as an archivist and topographer, Eddy Philogene now spends his days riding around the rough paths and unpaved roads of central Haiti on a moto to visit our patients. He provides supervision and logistical support for patients and their accompagnateurs, including everything from transportation to the hospital, to organizing accompagnateur training sessions. Importantly, Eddy provides us with a direct communication link to our patients, who have no phones, faxes, emails, or transportation. How else would we know that one of our mothers has gone into labor? Ever a cheerful solver of problems, Eddy joined the MARCH team in January, 2004.
