Susan McLellan, M.D., M.P.H.

Consultant to the MARCH PMTCT and HIV Programs
Dr. McLellan received her undergraduate degree in Anthropology from Princeton, an MPH from Berkley and her M.D. from Tulane. An award winning teacher at Tulane Medical School, her professional interests are in Tropical Medicine and Travel Medicine. As a double boarded specialist in Pediatrics as well as Adult Infectious Diseases, Dr. McLellan has been studying and working in Haiti since 1982, when she conducted an anthropologic investigation about nutrition in lactating women.
Dr. McLellan joined the faculty of Tulane University in 1997. She is fluent in French and speaks excellent Haitian Creole. Her current goal is to improve adult and pediatric HIV and Tuberculosis care through training, protocol development, and infrastructure building at Mirebalais Hospital. We are fortunate to have her as a volunteer consultant to our program.
