A Counseling Cooperative is an organization of licensed counselors trained and experienced in counseling gays and lesbians, families of gays, gay couples and spouses, when one is gay, in a marriage. We deal with couple issues, coming out, grief, identity issues, and other special topics.
A Counseling Cooperative provides quality mental health services in a safe and comfortable environment to the lesbian and gay community of the greater New Orleans area. All counselors are proficient with the issues facing gays and able to assist with learning coping skills for their families and personal crisis. Counselors are licensed by the state and adhere to the Louisiana Counseling Association's and the American Counseling Association's guidelines to ensure ethical and effective counseling. Counseling services for individuals, couples, and families are provided in an atmosphere conducive to the growth and development of the client.
