Health Insurance Requirements

It is the policy of Tulane University School of Medicine to require all visitors of the university and their family members to have medical/health insurance coverage for their entire period of stay. The minimum medical insurance coverages are:

- $50,000 per accident or illness (including maternity);

- Repatriation of remains in the amount of $7,500;

- Expenses associated with medical evacuation to your home country in the amount of $10,000;

- Deductible amount not to exceed $500 per accident or illness.

If insurance with the above-listed coverages for students studying abroad is not available in your country (or if you prefer), you can call 1-800-635-7801 for information regarding temporary health insurance. This is a private company and is not associated with Tulane University

If accepted as a visiting student, you will be required to show proof of proper insurance coverage before you are permitted to register and begin your training
